What does it take to achieve the things you want in life?
Have you thought about it? More importantly, have you done the research? For example, a lot of people say they want to buy a boat. But they haven’t gathered even the most basic information of what it’s like to be a boat owner. What do they cost? What model is best for you? Are there slips available at the local marina? What kind of license do you need to pilot the boat? Without doing research, you can’t know whether a boat is something you truly want. And you certainly won’t have a checklist of tasks needed to select, buy, maintain and enjoy your future vessel.
So “Step #1 to Living the Life of Your Dreams” is knowing how to get there. It’s impossible to achieve you want if you don’t know the required steps. Since I’ve been talking about the power of focus this month, one thing I recommend is to focus – even for a few minutes – on researching the steps needed to achieve a major goal you have. Between the Internet and real people who have already accomplished what you want to do, it’s easy to check out websites, make calls, interview people, attend seminars, read articles, and download documents.
When you DO find out what it takes, why not use the same secret weapon that top achievers do: coaching. Of all the things successful people do to accelerate their path to the healthy, balanced and financially secure lifestyle they want, working with a coach is at the top of the list. The Oola Coaching Program is the formula I’ve discovered that has transformed not only my life, but the lives of countless people around the world. This landmark 10-week program called Transform" will help you define the goals you want to achieve, then keep you accountable to doing those things every day that bring about the results you want.
Check out Oola Coaching and work with me every week to set goals in major life areas like finances, fitness, family, field (career) and more. For now, comment (or message me) with the activities, career, fitness level, finances, faith walk, and family relationships you’ve decided you want. I’ll be your biggest cheerleader and most supportive guide to getting there.
Today we are looking at giving those excuses and an exit strategy!
The 3 reasons most people keep their excuses around so long are:
1. Our subconscious has become big bullies in our minds. We've told ourselves the words "I can't" so many times that when we go to make those changes, the big bully steps in and sabotages our efforts.
2. They are not setting realistic goals or goals that can be achieved in a reasonable amount of time.
3. They do not have any accountability.
With all of that in mind, there are 3 simple adjustments you can make RIGHT NOW to make an impact. Give your excuses the exit strategy they need by:
1. Changing your mindset and learning mindset action steps.
2. Set SMART goals. I love acronyms and this one is great! Specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and linked to time.
3. Get yourself some "people"! We all need accountability and getting one or a few people together who will help you stay the course is so important. I have a group of 2 women in my life that I like to call my "Goal Getter Girls" ...they bless me beyond measure and have been so instrumental in getting me to where I find myself today...building my big, beautiful, balanced life!
Here is the link to the video I did on this topic:

Let's talk fitness for a moment. With a global pandemic upon us, 2020 was a year when virtually everyone was focused on their health.
Or were they?
I know I am good about my fitness when my pool is open and I can swim every day and it’s warm outside and I am growing fresh salad fixings in my garden. But what about when the pool is closed or the pandemic closed your gym (again) and your garden is covered in snow?
While we were busy social distancing and stockpiling, many people overlooked other health conditions . . . spaced on their routine workouts . . . rationalized work-at-home snacking . . . and saw their stress levels skyrocket.
If 2020 was a “fitness fail” for you, I have a suggestion: why not spend the rest of the month of December wrapping up overdue health concerns – instead of tying more bows on packages?
Make a list of what’s needed, then jump on the phone to schedule appointments -- and jump online to find workout equipment for your home. Get started with goals that will recapture that healthy lifestyle you want.
After all, you can’t have an amazing future if your body doesn’t show up to support you. That’s something I learned from Dr. Dave Braun and Dr. Troy Amdahl – (aka The OolaGuys)
When I first started working with The OolaGuys to become a Certified Oola Life Coach, I discovered that the Oola formula has changed the lives of more than a million followers around the world. Story after story (My own included) appeared on Oola’s Facebook page of people who had hit major life goals (or simply transformed their chaos into balance and calm).
The OolaLife is one that rocks in 7 major areas: fitness, finance, family, field (career), faith, friends and fun. It’s a game-changer for anyone who wants to live with less stress, more balance, and greater purpose.
Remember, WHERE you are right now in your health and fitness is not WHO you are! You have it within you to become the person you want to see in the mirror. I can help!
Message me and we can jump on a 30-minute call to discuss what coaching is like and how it can work for you. Sometimes, it's just that little bit of accountability that a person needs to take them to the next level!
